Since I can't draw until I get my tablet replaced, I tried another creative outlet: sculpture! Yeah, epic fail, never doing that again.Appa is ~3 inches tall, so he's pretty darn tiny; he fits in the palm of your hand. Hence the lack of detail! I also sculpted, baked AND painted him over at a friend's house while having a movie marathon, so I had no references, so he's probably a bit inaccurate. Failure. D:
And no, I haven't made a finished clay sculpture since I was 10. >>; So...ferociously out of practice. NEVAH AGAIN. I have a newfound respect for you sculptors out there.
Sculpey I clay with acrylic paint. ~3" high at top of head. 8 hours.

But I used crap Prang clay and tried to bake it when it wasn't bakeable. And he melted.

I know. T_T And I was never able to recreate him. He was one of those spurr-of-the-moment-and-never-get-to-recreate-ever-again types of pieces. >: I even got frustrated with my Momo ;-;
