I had forgotten how much the Whispering Woods looks like it belongs in freaking Willy Wonka. Or maybe Dr. Seuss.

The cotton candy effect of the trees is wonderfully played here! The characters really pop too... I love their strong hues against the pastels. c:

Wow...I really like this. Β Like, a lot. Β You do an excellent job with the scenery, giving it lots of loving detail and excellent lighting effects (the sheen on the tree tops is especially nice) and giving the whole thing a positively lovely depth of field that works very well with the overall scene. Β Also, despite being more than a bit outside your usual style, you nail Loo-Kee and Imp here. Β Like, seriously, they just came out great; so much personality in their poses and expression, with this really great energy and life to the way you do their lines...it's just great. Β And as always, your colors are fantastic; I love how even with all the varied and peculiar hues of the Whispering Woods you manage to make Imp and Loo-Kee's colors stand out so nicely. Β Really 'n' truly, the whole pic just does a really nice job of capturing this very particular mood that is hard to describe but is really interesting. ^_^

Well, the style thing is...explainable I guess. I can easily parrot someone else's style, I just don't do it most of the time because, well, I LIKE putting my own flavor into things. But with these two, I tried to stay pretty on-model. So while not exact replicas of their original design, they're gonna be closer than my usual fan work is. The forest was a lot of fun to make, though. Even though I forgot how weird it really is so looking up refs I was like...dayum. How did I manage to forget this? XD

Oh yeah, I love FILMation's background art; it's got this really bizarre charm to it that really fits the particular tone of Fantasy Adventure "He-Man" and "She-Ra" occupied. ^3^

Thanks much for this. Both Imp and Loo-Kee look quite good. Seems Imp doesn't really fancy being "It" in their little game. 
I actually never thought about that, but Whispering Woods does look like it could pass for the Truffula Forest. I wonder if there was any inspiration going on there. But you did phenomenally on the trees and such. Love it so much. Thanks again.

such an exotic looking background, I have to agree with the look of whispering wood, that it looks like it belongs in Dr Seuss, as it does remind me of the trees in the Lorax 8D but also the colours of the setting sorta reminds me of this too www.elginpk.com/worsley1112_2/β¦
but anyway, splendid picture with an enchanting background and delightful looking characters, which look like they are having such a fun time
