Description
A tutorial/process thing of how I do my mini commissions. This is the process of how I did this artwork: Dusty MiniSome notes:
I exclusively used the "KYLE Ultimate Oil Thicker" brush for this from Kyle Webster's Ultimate brush set (for sale here: gumroad.com/kyletwebster )
I always do a few sketches or at least edit the sketch a bit in the beginning. It's important to take your time with the initial sketch so you've got something you like!
For my mini commissions I work at this size. Usually for bigger commissions I work much larger than the size I upload them at
This took about 30 minutes to do. My minis always take between 15 and 45 minutes to do
I am also still open for minis like this ($10 each!) as well as all other commissions, info here: Commission Sheet 2014

I use a wacom intuos 4 -or- a monoprice tablet depending on the day! I've drawn with mouse before, but using a tablet is nice because of the pen pressure / more control

Well, I'd say don't be afraid! The best thing you can do is just try your best, it may not always come out good, but you will be one drawing closer to drawing the way you want to be drawing! I know it can be scary to try new things, and also very difficult, but drawing stuff you're not used to drawing is the best and fastest way of getting better. Always try new things and don't be afraid of how it looks, it's all part of the process of getting better and better.
This is where I started out as an artist on the internet, for reference: fanart.lionking.org/Artists/Or…
I many things drew every day when I was just starting out and improved a lot because of it! The more you draw and the more you push yourself to draw things you're not yet comfortable drawing, the better you'll get. Good luck!
