Sorry this took so long! I was experimenting with a couple of different things here.No I didn't go on a civ 5 binge I have no idea what you're talking about.
This was such a fantastic moment not only in the episode, but the series as a whole. I wanted to try and show just exactly what RD was doing. This was something she wanted not just for the time in which we've shared her adventures, but for her entire life. Something she seemingly wanted more than anything else. Something she would sacrifice blood, sweat, and tears to. Her dream above all others.
And in an instant, she gave it all away. Her life's dream gone.
Because she realized in that moment there are more important things in life than any one persons aspirations.
Damn good job Rainbow Dash. A lesser individual wouldn't have done what you did in that moment.

I found that ep awesome! I was sure she would b a wonderbolt and all, but then, when it came to the scene where she quit, it was just epic, then the face she had after she left the office, realizing that she just broke all her dreams...

Actually...this is why I loved this episode. It was Rainbow Dash at her best.
You know...somebody made a comic about how Lightning Dust felt to lose everything for one mistake (and also being blamed for things that "were not her fault" ...although they totally were. Dash clipped her wing to keep up with her irresponsible leader. If Dash didn't keep up with Dust, they both would've been disqualified. Dash did that for the team. For Dust!)
And yeah, if Dust actually did get kicked out for life (instead of just demoted to wing pony or some other lesser reprimand), that would suck and be kind of heavy handed even in the face of her reckless endangerment.
But...Dash totally went ahead and decided to go through with abandoning her dream simply because she couldn't continue wanting to have anything to do with the Wonderbolts if Dust's behavior was not only condoned, but desired.
Dust could not have lost even a single bit more than what Dash would've sacrificed. Well...unless she also got arrested, banished, and imprisoned in the place she was banished to.

Just imagine if you were going to quit something you dream most...that would surely break your heart but here atleast she's a leader now, we're all glad anyways nice work

I swear, at this moment in the episode I knew what she was going to do, but still thought that maybe she wouldn't.... but she did.
I wish the episode did something like this picture at this moment.. to better reflect the gravity of her decision. To be a Wonderbolt was her only real motivator.
For her to do this... to show that beneath her brash, boastful exterior was a line she would not cross. A sense of integrity that would not be compromised -even if it meant that she would attain what she's dreamed of her entire life- was a great illustration of her maturing character.

*Rainbow's character is presented there as it is without any exagerations
*Her friends actually care about her
*She triumphs by observing and learning herself and moral is presented in a satisfaying way, we feel like it was worth it

Yep. I agree. It's like they went through the bulletpoints not to make the same mistakes. That means that they also want to improve and be better and better. I can't wait to see more.

I admin a Spitfire page, and I am an American Soldier. I put these words at the top of this picture on my wall, and would like your thoughts on it.
Rainbow Dash has shown the most resolve, and loyalty to her friends. Her life's goal being on the Wonderbolts team. When she thought she saw that her life's goal was full of corruption, and held in high standard to sacrifice others to get ahead. She swallowed her dream, and came to confront me with the only purpose to end that dream that had been her life's drive. To me that shows a level of moral standard that has no equal. Rainbow Dash is the most upstanding pony I have ever seen. She showed Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless-Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. Rainbow Dash is a pony that all others should strive to be in merit, and conduct. As the Wonderbolts Captain I fully acknowledge Rainbow Dash.
