Description
So what are your thoughts on this one? This is a male individual with prominent decorative features. The additional wing finger is lengthenned, and the hindlegs are strongly modiffied, the limb bones are very thin, and there is only one digit.
Both of these features are only slightly reflected in the female form, the "tail fork" is shorter, and so is the wing finger. The lobed tips are made of soft tissue and are absent in females too.

Vestigial hind limbs used as a decorative feature? Awesome

Yeah, but it would start off as an adaptation for flight - saving weight - individuals with smaller hindlegs would be ligter and faster (and thus less likely to be preyed on) so they would manage to pass their genes on the next generation. This could work for the predators too, they could also display limb reduction (though most likely of a different kind) or something else entirely, but it would be for the same reason, the lighter predators would be faster and thus more likely to catch prey, and if they can catch prey, they are fit and thus pass their genes on. You know how it goes...

Yeah Or in the other way around those with smaller hindlimbs would make a more efficient use of their energy, rather than those with bigger hindlimbs which would spend certain part of the energy in the useless organs... x.X
