Description
One of the most photographed locations in Grand teton. I have always wanted to get my own shot of this location. I wasn't quite there for sunrise but the clouds came in and some strange lighting happened. I was told if I was ever in the Teton's I should not miss this place. I am certainly glad I made the attempt to photograph and visit this area. It's one of those places that takes you back in time. I swear wherever we went on this trip the photographers followed. When we got there there were about 5 people just taking in the view. Once we got closer about 20 other photographers showed up. I had to wait more than a few times to get my shots so no people would end up in them. Alas I got some images I wanted and we ventured off. This place really cannot get passed up if your in this area. One of the neatest places I've been.Mormon row- Grand Teton's, Wyoming

Simple and lovely composition ^-^ I have seen this place before, to be honest, but the saturation of color here really makes it feel fresh.

Thank you! I'd love to return here and get some new comps and scenes. Perhaps a return is in store for next year.

This is on antelope flats rd. It is somewhat adjacent to jenny lake but further back. Not sure how close it actually is to the lodge.

cool shot, but IMO the south moulton barn is way better - it reflects the shape of the tetons more......

Thanks! We passed that barn but it was overtaken by a dozen other photogs and I wasn't willing to wait for more people to get out of my shots. I wish we could have gotten there about 2 hours earlier for the actual sunrise over that barn, but I guess I'll just have to wait to go back.

Me too. I didn't want to leave but the light was giving up and decided for the snake river overlook and then back to home. It was a shame we only spent about 4 hours in the Tetons. Not enough time for anything!

I shot this about 3 weeks ago. End of June, There were a lot of flowers, but not much variety. Right behind this barn there was a huge meadow of yellow daisies with bison grazing along it. Other than that I hadn't seen much else. Occasional lupines here and there and some really bright and small blue flowers. If you look for them you will find them. I just remember seeing lots and lots of yellow haha.

Yeah I've got the yellow shots, if you continue eat from the barns there were a lot of cool yellow shots, some of my favorites but I am going to get lupine ones. There are a bunch of lupine off the main road next to a lake which I cannot remember the name right now.....

We didn't go to any of the lakes even though I was hoping to get shots at Jenny lake and Jackson lake. I'm sure there are a lot of wildflowers around the shores there.
