Description
I spotted ears in a field of sagebrush and had a feeling we should pull over to see what it was. We were lucky as not even 10 feet in front of us there was a nice turnoff where we could park. We got out of the car and waited for the ears to poke up again. A few seconds later this beautiful coyote emerged from the sagebrush as well as tons of other wildlife watchers. This coyote attracted quite a large crowd as we watched it mouse around the open field for almost an hour. We got lucky that it came as close as it did, this image is cropped, but not by much.Coyote- Yellowstone national park, Wyoming

I find it to be a lucky treat when I see a coyote. Once when I was camping, I heard an entire pack of them howling and barking in the middle of the night.

I'm lucky when I can see any kind of animal...Though the bigger ones always create more excitement.
