Description A dead tree awaits the warm light of sunrise as it's perched along the cold crisp south rim of the grand canyon. This was one of the many images I shot over the weekend. This time of day is starting to become my favorite time to shoot. The glow just before sunrise is just beautiful.

Oh goodness... This is stunning. I had no idea that the canyon would erupt in blue hues at dawn, it contrasts beautifully with the reds. It's strange seeing the canyon with a feeling of coldness, of calming feelings. Usually she's portrayed as a warm, stirring mountain-range, even when it's cloudy. Very impressive, really...

Thank you! That's what I love about the grand canyon, you can always see something different. Winter is a time of cold, and the early morning light has a beautiful blue tone that conveys that feeling.
