Windows8 default logon for Windows7!!Caution!!
This only works with Windows7 SP1 32bit and 64 bit
DON'T try it on another version
Correct size of userpicture, passwordfield and buttons.
Make a backup of your files before.
Learn how to remove the original language button in the left upper corner( if there is one) herewindows7forums.com/tweaks-guid… Thanks to for the hint.
Be careful what you are doing. I'm not responsible for any damage of your system. Don't try it if you are not an experienced user and if you have no installation disc to repair your system if somethings going wrong.
Use the background changer of your choice to change the background.

hi..great work there and i like it very much...
but i found a bug with the user picture...it seems like it is not displaying in square ratio or it is having wrong paddings...
how to simulate the issue:
1. use a square avatar in windows with a thick white border around the picture
2. at the logon screen, i can only see the white border at the top of the avatar, but not the left, right and bottom borders...it seems like they have been cropped
3. if i have multiple users, my avatar is appearing correctly with all the borders
the problem only occurs at the big picture login screen...hope u have time to look at it...thanks

padding="rect(32rp, 32rp, 32rp, 32rp)" Left, Top, Right, Bottom.Maybe the overlay isn't centered. Multiusers acccount pictures use another overlay.Or it is a prob with the zoom. I will look for the prob.

What I find strange is that just like with the old version, I still get all those weird white boxes around the Password box.
What's stranger still is that my laptop meets and exceeds all of the system requirements too.
Guess I'll just make a Miku Hatsune Logon Screen BG or something. Because I honestly can't get other peoples' things to work right.

Did you replace the background wallpaper with the one in this pack? And if yes can you please make a screenshot? This logon is downloaded more than 20 000 times and i never heard something like that.

That's crazy. I would really like to know what causes your problem. Are you running any kind of logon tweaker? If yes first restore to default and try again.

I'm not running any kind of logon tweaker at the moment. And I just tested the whole thing out. It turns out that the problem only appears when the computer is locked and shows one user, not when it shows 2+ users.
I took a picture of the problem with my iPod, so I'll upload that and link it to you when it's up.

The problem: the little white boxes at the corners of the Password field. It appeared in the last version of the logon screen, and it reappeared in this one. So, yeah.
Also, I'm not sure whether the buttons next to the password field are supposed to look like that. My guess: They're not.

I've downloaded your shot. You can delete it if you want.
The password field isn't a image in Win7. It is defined by the UI files of the authui.dll. The submit button is a image but its size is controlled by the UI files too. The size and appearance of the submit button is correct (except of the few blue pixels). The password field is simply displayed to small. I will try to reproduce your prob. Are you using 32 or 64 bit?

This can't be changed. Transparent images are shown as white. So it is not possible to make one which can be used for all colors. Sorry.

Nearly all bmps must be changed. If you wanna hide the userpic, do it in the UI files. Set layoutposition to none and it is gone.
Btw. What is a neutral colour?

I installed your customization in november + the one from nasrodj, all has gone quite well (with some personal adjustement). I reinstalled win7 recently and it must be said that it's harsh to get something good now (due mainly to recalcitrant permissions, "TakeControlb2" is useless too).
Anyway both your's + nasrodj's works.
(neutral color: I use a kind of grey #1B2426 instead of the final blue background)

Wenn Du willst kannst Du auch auf Deutsch schreiben. Wäre vielleicht einfacher. Habe mein Win7 im Januar neu installiert (neuer Computer) und habe keinerlei Probleme mit "Permissions".Merkwürdig. Dass die Sachen von Nasrodj funktionieren wundert mich nicht. Der klaut immer mein Zeug. Will heissen, wenn meins funktioniert, funktioniert seins auch. Er ist nur immer einen Schritt hinterher.

I don't know if they are worth releasing them (most of them are made for my screen resolution,and I also need the permission of some people to release them)

Hey, your method for installing PeterRollar jobs don't work for me with taking ownership of authui.dll, especially when changing it in system32 (in sysWOW64 it works). Because explorer.exe says it uses it.
