I remember when our python could fit in the palm of a hand. That was many years ago now...

Yeah. The vet only gave me the go-ahead to try feeding him nutrients with a blunt syringe down his throat about two days before he passed away, which was a shame. Don't think the vet was particularly reptile-savvy...

D8 I hate you. I adore piebald ball pythons.<33 The only way I would ever get a python would be if I could get a piebald. I like pythons, but I just prefer handling smaller snakes, so I'll most likely get them when I move out of this house.XD

Heehee, the only way I ever get a ball python would be if it was a piebald as well. I will handle any snake that is less than 150 pounds.

I'll handle large snakes (we have a regular ball python in my zoology class), but I can't see myself owning one or handling one regularly.xD Now, small and medium snakes I adore.<3 My favorite snake was this albino corn snake. I don't know if she was "big" or not, but she was the biggest snake in the room, not including the python and boa we had in that room.XD

so cute!!!! I love him! Is he just a baby or will he get bigger? Is there any such thing as a miniature python?

Phoenix-Cry In reply to thetravelingbard [2011-01-28 23:47:59 +0000 UTC]
He's just a baby! He'll get 4-6 feet. There are pythons that do not get very big, Children's Python only gets 2-3, and the African House Snake which is very python like the males get 2 feet the females get about 4.

It's a special mutation known as Piebald that causes white patches, sometimes seen on deer as well

Heehee. 1500 is a little high for a pied with this level of white, he was only 900.

Ah, at a pet shop, that's cause they paid 1000 for it and marked it up. I bought mine from a breeder.

Yeah, he had it ordered by request of a customer. Right now though he's breeding killer bee ball pythons and other rare valuable morphs. Haha and I live in the middle of nowhere. It's soo weird.

Haha it's sooo cool. It has the spiderball spinning thing though, but I thought that that made it even more awesome.
