Here's Chewbacca celebrating Life Day, a wookiee holiday featured in the notorious " Star Wars Holiday Special " aired only one time in late 1978. Only folks who've survived a watching of said Holiday Special with their brains still intact might be able understand what's going on in the background.

Well that explains why he doesn’t defend it. Why NO ONE defends it. I’ve only seen small parts of it, and I can understand entirely why no one likes it. Although “life day” was made canon again in “Certain Point of View” with the Whills overlooking and writing a story about the events of the galaxy like it was a huge documentary for them. One got mad that the other was only writing about the OT. So the other decided to write about other stuff like the clone wars, and about life day

I like it. It's just something from a different point in time. Things were a bit more innocent & people were far less obnoxious. 
Yeah, that 40th " Certain Point of View " book was very hit or miss for me.

I seem to remember Pop sharing this with the family years ago ... somehow he got a bootlegged copy or something. Our Thanksgivings were ... very much like this, especially with the fact that my Big Sister was so disorganized and we always had to wait for her.

Depends on who you talked to. If it was the kids or Pop, it was. If it was Mom, she would give you that look. For me, it was a forced holiday which I often couldn't afford, especially to drive down from Savannah and buy presents. If it was my Big Sister ... she just lit another joint and took a pull off of her beer.
