Description
Here's Voolvif Monn from the original, animated " Clone Wars " series. He was part of a fan choice poll. People got to choose from 3 Jedi aliens and the winner would show up in the last episode of the first season of " The Clone Wars ". Voolvif won... and kinda wound up sentencing the other 2 choices to death... cuz they were used in a later episode and didn't quite survive. I dunno if Voolvif Monn ever died or not. It's possible that he's still howling at some moon on some planet in Star Wars Land.Related content

That depend on the Lucas' crew team. Hoping he will show up again with new look and they may have him got him an apprentice in the Clone Wars series return.

His hair and smile are right on point. Pity we didn't see ol' Voolvie in Filoni's Clone Wars and Rebels.

I'm not sure. Even though I like him, I'd prefer that he didn't because it sort of seems like waaay too many Jedi survived that.

We can be sure he went down fighting in any case.

The other choices may have been killed off... but at least they had a larger role to play in the show than Voolvif. Voolvif just deliveries a finishing blow to a losing droid army and gets rescue by Anikan... thats about it...
And now, after all these years... I'm not sure if I want to see him in another piece of medium. His characterization is so vague that it been a great source of fannon to wonder what he is like for years, and seeing depicted any other way would almost be a shame...

Oh, I think I'd prefer that he got offed during Order 66... mostly because too many Jedi seemed to survive it.

Oh yeahhhh now I remember.
I wish they'd do more stuff with Durge. He was awesome. I mean he did die, but I had a comic where he died too. In fact I have an action figure of him from that comic.
I even remember as a kid Durge was my favorite villain, of course now it's General Grievous (obviously, who doesn't love GG in the Clone Wars).
I remember the day before Episode III was released my step-dad took me to a toy store and I asked if they had any Durge toys, but I forgot his name and accidentally said "Do you have any General Grievous toys." I dunno how I got the two confused.

I guess they used Durge in the comic a lot. I have the one you have that came with Anakin and that " Predator "-looking Durge. I think I prefer the minimalist approach they did with Durge in the cartoon. I kinda like the " less is more " sort of thing.
That's cool. I guess I have a few years on you. I prolly would've said something like that back when " The Empire Strikes Back " came out. It's prolly best that you said Grievous since I kinda doubt store employees would've been familiar with Durge.

Yeah, which is weird because in the cartoon you see Durge without his helmet on, which is something they seemed to purposefully avoid in the cartoon. The action figure I have even has a removable mask, it kinda takes away the mystery of his character. They don't even really say his name in the cartoon, which is probably why I was so confused.
Also some of the comics are really weird. There's one where Darth Vader becomes good so he paints himself white or something. It sounds like something George Lucas would have come up with in some weird, disconnected dream or something.

Star Wars comics & novels tend to go too far explaining things that should be left to the imagination. Yeah. I knew his name because I got the first action figures and then they put out the 'toon version.
I think the one with the white Vader is a " what if.. " sort of story. They did a few like that.

Yeah. It's still weird, like why did he feel the need to change the color of his suit. I mean Luke wore black in Jedi so it's not like it's forbidden or anything. And how did he change it, did he just have white paint lying around for him to just coat himself in if he ever decided to turn to the light side of the force? The whole concept is just kinda strange. I have nothing against alternative timelines in which Darth Vader survives but that seems like a move they made specifically to make action figures. Easy-to-make action figures too, just paint the Darth Vader molds white. At least with the Durge comic you get a really unique and interesting figure.

I'm not sure. I kinda think he may not have been evil which is why he was white. Maybe he had it made in white plas-steel or whatever it is they use. A lot of the comic 2-pack figures were just kinda lame repaints.
Yeah, the Durge set was nice. I did a lot of picking & choosing with the 2 packs. Some were sweet and some were kinda poopy. I did get the first 3 sets they made, which were all repaints, but I left them in the package.

I want to get the Clone Wars action figure of General Grievous. I had it a while ago but it's packed away somewhere and I'm not sure where it is. I guess I liked the more realistic version more, which was really stupid of me since the cartoon Grievous is much better than the live action one. I'm pretty sure Star Wars Clone Wars used a lot of designs from Samurai Jack honestly.

I have a pile of Grievous figures. I sorta got more accustomed to his Clone Wars appearance. Was Samurai Jack & the first Clone Wars made by the same guys?

Yeah, it's really similar style-wise. There's a lot of long, quiet action scenes with ambient background noise. It's really cool.
