[Edit]First, a quote from the Codex:
"They give live birth to their young who are capable of eating solid food from the moment they are born. Drell appearance is very similar to asari and humans..." This should explain the breasts, though I might create an alternative one day.
To feminize her I extended the red gill-like things on her neck starting from halfway on her jawline. Also, I thought of cobras when I saw the back of Thane's head so I decided to extend that part of the head, which I call the hood.

Combined version 1 and 2 of my female drell design. I forgot to include the horn thingies on her head but I think it's a good thing... I like the sleekness ^_^

Haha well really the only drell we see are Kolyat and Thane, neither of them really had much reason to extend hoods.
Seems to me a bit like a regional thing, or in a show of rank (like how some animals raise their tails, feathers, etc. in a show of dominance) and given Thane is your subordinate, he wouldn't extend 
Bioware probably didn't bother with the hood extension.

I like your painting is beautiful
but those red... things (I forget what they are called) are a matter of self-defense.
They inflate when someone is trying to choke them so it makes it harder to.
I don't think they could do the same thing when like that

I haven't read anything about that part of their anatomy in the game or in the wikis. Not that I thoroughly researched drell anatomy anyway. This drawing was really just on a whim, which is probably why it's been quite problematic for me.
I'd really like to learn more about them, so if you could direct me to a site or a source of information, that would be great! However, if that part of their anatomy does inflate, I still think it's possible with this design.

Yeah, that's what I read, which was why I was confused. The only part that had anything to do with inflation was the hyoid bone, the purpose of which is probably communication (or at least, sound production). I couldn't find any reference to defense. But either way, thanks! ^^

This is amazing! I was having a hard time picturing a female drell (as anything other than a male drell), but this is just perfect. I especially love what you did with the red part of her face/jaw.

This makes me think of a Drell version of an Asari Matriarch
She general elegance makes her seem as though she'd be some kind of important figure in the Drell culture.

And I agree with what someone said down below about instead of two separate breasts, some kind of "boob shaped protrusion"(the word usage makes me giggle xD) would fit better given that Drells are reptilian and have no need for mammary glands.

wow! so beautifully drawn and designed! I agree, the sleek look is very suiting; it make her look more feminine to me. The gill-like things and the hood add a very feminine touch to the design and it just looks so natural! Just an amazing job all round!

the breasts though wouldnt be needed if the young eats solid food from birth...no need for milk, no need for mammary glands in breasts.
Its hard to make a attaractive alien without the human characteristics of breasts and hips.....perhaps instead of breasts, a boob shaped protrusion, no cleft between, so it would almost look like armour, but actually be part of their body.
....hmm you got me thinking now!!

This is excellent. I like the cobra hood look of her head, those have always looked feminine to me. I wish they'd show more of the female gender of the alien species in the ME games. I mean they're always talking about them, but it seem, from appearances, that the only females in the univers are Quarians and Asari (who aren't even really female!). I'd like to see a female Turian and Salarian, maybe a Krogan but it actually makes sense to me that you don't see many Krogan females because they are so prized and protected.

I'm not much of one for drell. They just don't appeal to me.
This however is an excellent rendering of one and imagining of the sexual dimorphism of drell. Faved because of great quality!

Placed most of my thoughts and efforts into the differentiating characteristics from the neck and up and neglected the body. Hence the whole debate about the chest area. I personally don't care either way.
