First appearance: Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (2005)

Precursors to Cyberdemons, these demonic heavies are deployed in urban areas to clean out mortals survivors that aren't worth zombifying, gunning them down with their HE-blessed weaponry fused to their arms. Bruisers can come in many variants and types, with a varying amount of cybernetic modifications on their body for each Bruiser produced, from light armored Bruisers to kill defenseless citizens, to heavily armored units armed with rocket launchers for military bases.

Some Bruisers are more specialized in their purpose, for example one Bruiser type is specifically designed to instill fear and dread into rebel mortals, by spouting out propaganda and other menacing phrases through a TV-like screen mounted on the Bruiser's chest.

As stated before, the Bruisers are the precursors to the Cyberdemon Program, the Hierarchy thousands of years ago had just successfully created cybernetic implant tech and were testing it out on anything they can, not much is known about these previous ancient experiments, but what can be known is that it led the Bruisers' existence, along with the research needed to create more cybernetic demons.

The official name for the demon race that became the Bruisers remains unknown, the Hierarchy really kept things under wraps during their experiments. This Bruiser pictured here is referred to by his masters as, ROE-676UA, he is currently assigned on the medieval planet K'nik'woola to kill off all of the nobles and peasants in the alien Sh'aalaga Kingdom.
