One question, when Nymphia's ribbons glow, is that any specific move? Also on the subject of moves, is the four move limit from the games in effect here? (I specify the games because at one point in the anime, Ash's Snorlax knows six moves, and another persons Dragonite knows eight.)

Later in the story, there's a concept I introduced called type related skills which are basically abilities that specific types have in-order to give them more options and make specific characters more unique from one another. When her ribbons glow, she's channeling the fairy type one, exactly what that does hasn't been stated but it was shown off in better detail later on.
I don't limit them, a lot of that has to do with the differences in mediums. For a video game, video games are an interactive medium, the player is concerned with working within limitations, planning a strategy, figuring out how to solve the problem put in front of them, stuff like that. Comics are a visual medium, and as such the audience is essentially an observer and as such what is shown to them matters quite a bit. Logically, Solar should just use psychic over and over because that's one of his best attacks and in the games that probably be ok, but it be pretty boring to read if that's all he did ever single time.

Thank you so much for explaining this to me. The concept of type-related skills is really interesting, but I was wondering what type of skills a Grass type would have? This interests me as my favorite type is Grass, and also Grass types don't seem to have many special abilities. Fire types have some sort of flames (or fire-producing organs), Water types have some control over water (Popplio can control bubbles, Vaporeon can become water, etc.)
I completely agree with your interpretation of this. If I were ever to start a comic series (unlikely as I can't draw) or some sort of written variation, I would absolutely do the same thing, if not for the reasons you mentioned, then to make it more interesting or to make it more logical (Alakazam has an IQ of 5000, and can apparently only remember four moves).

I felt it gave the characters more to do and also helped distinguish them a bit too. The grass type one will be shown later on in Shining Consequence. The fire one hasn't been shown, the water one has been shown a couple of times, Aqualus used it and Monarch also used it to get the upper-hand in the fights they were in. Otherwise the only other ones that have been shown are the psychic ones (psychic powers, Monarch used Clairvoyance and Solar sent out a telepathic message) and the steel one (Rotaar said steel types function like a well oiled machine, not feeling fatigue or anything like that).
It makes things more interesting I think. I do limit them in that they can only use attacks that be possible for them to know. For instance only Nymphia and Rotaar have breed moves (wish and Brave bird respectively), an explanation was given to how they know TM moves, the younger characters aren't allowed to use high level attacks (like Tyler doesn't know Take down).

Man, Solar just does not like Nymphia, or the fact that she has a human partner. He's going to be even less happy should Shadow decide to leave with Nymphia to find her partner. (I've read further)
On the off topic, could Solar ever meet a human he can respect? One that would rather be friends than "master and servant?" It really hurts to see just how hard he treats Nymphia just for being who she is, and by extension his attitude towards trainers in general is pretty well corroded too.

Nope, he sure doesn't. He's pretty against the concept in general and their opinions on it are pretty much polar opposite. Solar doesn't like to be told what to do and he also has an issue with authority after what happened with Galvin and to a lesser extant his parents.
Unlikely, a possible answer to that question comes later when Shadow introduces Nymphia to Dominic, she asks him if Solar knows about that and Shadow says no and that it probably be best to keep it that way.

Yeah, I read the scene with Dominic, as well as Solar’s encounter with Christalis. By now I’m starting to understand just how deeply set in his hatred Solar is. It seems it would have to take a very special individual to change his mind, like anime-style “friendship is magic” levels of special to get through to him, and we both know that such a situation doesn’t exist in this comic’s universe... unfortunately...

You did Really good. I also admire their Courage to overcome their argument this fast, realizing it's not worth it. They really have their Point on both sides there, still, they have other things to worry about!

I find their relationship pretty interesting because they can be a bit similar in some ways. Judging by their opposing life styles I suppose it's hard for them to really empathize with each other besides being protective of their loved ones.

Thanks, yeah that's more or less the concept here, these two are meant to be on polar opposites of a position but as its been seen again and again, the more extreme two positions become the more they oddly start to have in common.
