Did you ever try to teach a Sylveon Hyper Beam?! 83

Oh yeah, Pixilate Sylveon's are beasts with that. Echoed Voice is still better for competitive but Hyper beam has that dynamic look to it I like.

To be honest, hyper voice is still better in general. The cooldown from hyperbeam makes it so you either get set up upon if you do knock the pokemon out, or you get taken out otherwise. I wish it was good though, the animation for hyper beam and giga impact has always been fun ^.^

True but I did run one Hyper beam strategy that was pretty effective. It was a White herb Hyper beam, with 2 Calm mind boosts Baton passed over to it. With that Sylveon would one shot Mega Aggron and 2HKO'd Blissey. That worked out pretty good.

why white herb?

Dude I love Baton Pass teams, they're so fun Currently running a weakness policy substitute baton pass Umbreon because it's funny

Sorry I mixed that one up with another one of the stranger sets I tried out. The White herb baton pass one was an attempt to make a Physical Sylveon. Weird as that might sound, it worked surprisingly well.

The Hyper beam one was a little more typical. The way that one worked was it involved a Jolteon, Slowking, and Sylveon. Jolteon would Baton pass away immediately to Slowking, who would set up Nasty Plot and Trick room. After that it would turn over to Sylveon. The nice thing about Slowking was it was weak to Bug and Dark (two types Sylveon has advantage against) and it's a special water type that has a STAB psyshock, so it would scare Steel and Poison types away too. Sylveon's Hyper beam generally would get used as a secret weapon, like said, with the +2 Sp.Attack it one shotted Mega Aggron once (don't know if that was lucky or not, but it happened) and it became a good way to take stuff like that off the field. Sylveon would intentionally be as slow as possible, so it would usually go first.

I like to do sets like those from time to time, that way you're team are unpredictable. Nobody expects Machamp to use Fire blast XD

In single player that works fine since you can switch out after and negate the recovery turn. In multiplayer that still gives the opponent a turn to set up on you, which can be game losing. If you're talking about only using it as the last move of the entire game, then you're pretty much wasting a move slot on a pokemon that really can't afford that. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun move and I love making teams around weird unoptimized things, but it is just that
