Description Panel 1: Go to the doctor. Find out what your weight should be and discuss what foods/activities would be best to achieve this.

Panel 2: Eat the right foods for your body. Sweets in moderation.

Panel 3: Do the most appropriate exercises/activities for your body.

There are innumerable diet plans out there. It is all too common to hear of people trying several and continually falling off or just not finding one that works. The truth of the matter is that these plans will probably not work. Every single person's body is different in how it processes foods. So the best diet is a diet that is unique to you.
Sure people do find diets that work really well for them and that's just wonderful. Keep in mind that there can be a difference between being the 'right size' and being healthy.

Also, the unseen panel, don't lose weight just for someone (not friends, not family, not your other half) other than yourself. Its your body. Own it. Love it.

Much, much love and thanks to `Thiefoworld for helping to make the image look amazing!

Craig Ferguson said on his late show, "to lose weight, eat less and move more". Sound advice, but for some people all the exercise in the world will never make them thin. I have to watch everything I eat due to all my friggin' food allergies and yet I'm still overweight! Sigh. This is a cool idea, though, the way you have it all laid out

oh man, those stupid charts the doctors use are highly inacurate! When i was a size 5 and as a result of being so small looked very very sick, I was told by the dr because of those stupid charts that I was OBESE!

I agree, those charts are somewhat useless. They also don't account for the numerous different body types, not everyone's bones and organs are the same weight, some people are naturally skinny while others are naturally curvy and yet others naturally slim, the charts don't take that into account.
A friend's mother has hip replacements which are 7 pounds each, so her doc keeps telling her her weight is according to the charts even though she's actually dangerously skinny.

Also, if you're even a couple pounds overweight, no matter what ailment you go to the doctor for, they'll tell you it's because of your weight.

Astralseed In reply to MyntKat [2011-03-23 01:28:49 +0000 UTC]

I think they should get rid of those charts. All they do is hurt peoples feelings or scare people into thinking they need to go starve themselves.

MyntKat In reply to Astralseed [2011-03-23 01:32:26 +0000 UTC]

They should go by body fat measurements (not BMI, actual body fat measuring) and allow for different body types, I think. BMI is a little improvement over the old charts, but by no means perfect.
People should just get over their obsession with weight. Those who are severely over- or underweight are usually those who are most concerned with their weight...

Astralseed In reply to MyntKat [2011-03-23 01:51:14 +0000 UTC]

The only time I have ever been concerned about my weight was when a dr told me I was obese based on those charts.. though oddly enough, I was concerned about needing to gain weight. I'd wake myself up in the middle of the night to eat junk food in hopes of gaining a few lbs. Certainly wasn't the best idea I've ever had, but I was pretty desperate to try and gain some weight, I looked very sick.
And I agree, it would be much better if they decided weight problems based on body fat measurements rather than those crazy charts.
