I love this, but Missingno is actually harmless. I like how EVERYONE in existence thinks that Missingno will screw with your game. I ADORE the meme, though! Added to favorites!

Lewis Lovhaug/Linkara made MissingNo (The Entity) the greatest villain of his online show. It actually turned out a lovecraftian horror

its even scarier when it follows you the only game i ever glitched was blue and for some odd reason it followed me to gold version cause one day myΒ togepi decided to turn into missingno and after that the game went blank with only sound and then froze and then game overΒ

Missingno is the missing number between all pokemon. It is an error handler. It appears when the games attempts to access information for pokemon that do not exist in the game. Once you catch a missingno, it multiplies your items and messes up the graphics. This stops once you release it.

Yes. It only exists in the original red and blue version. It is good that Missingno exists or the game would crash. The game is stable and continues to run smoothly.

When you multiply, you place your zeros to prevent any arithmetic errors from happening but you do not use the zeros here for anything else. This explains the reason why Missingno even exists.
Oh by the way, this is my new account. I forgot the password to my last account JadoreLegendofZelda.

There is a way out of Missingno.'s glitch.Just simply fly to a different city and your game will be fine....until you fight a pokemon using Missingno. then you're trapped forever once a critical hit is done on you.The health meter will go down for who knows how long.(and plus..Missingno.'s battle cry lasts for 15 minutes.)

I loved catching him... and all the other Lvl 100 Squirtle that went right before it. After one battle if you catch him he'll evolve to Wartortle.

lol, did you know the very first missingno was a game glitch? its actually a empty actor (or pokemon 0, if you will) a empty pokemon file, in order to play the file it has to fill itself in with random stuff, and thus you get a blurry picture, strange name, weird attacks and a very destructive programing that will destroy your game if you catch him, (i opened up the game a few years ago to watch the files, don't even try to argue, its a bug, nothing more)
eventually in the later pokemon games the makers added missingno as a real new pokemon as so many people simply loved him despite the first one begin a bug
i guess people loved him course he was a total mystery, no game guide mentioned it, it did not show in the pokedex and never appeared in the animated series XD

((Missingno isn't a real pokemon. It's still just a game glitch XD It isn't even in newer games. Unless something new happened?))

i know its a game glitch, i said that right?
its a pokemon skeleton/testbase, the base of all pokemon characters, its basically the first pokemon the creators used, after finishing the testing they did not properly remove it and... well this is what happens.
there were claims (tough i could never confirm them as i never bought anything else then blue, red and yellow (after that i started on games like mortal combat, time to grow up right?)
and more strategic games.
I do however read at some sites they confirmed missingno in "gold" and "black and white"
in both those missingno apears as a big question mark in a orb (kinda a give away that or: the creators put it in on purpose, this time as a normal game character but not a real pokemon OR the ones that made the site are playing with people.

((Oh, sorry. Yeah, the creators put the question mark orb in there on purpose, to stop people from glitching out the game (if bulbapedia can be trusted as good information)))

lol well thats not how it works, the later games never had missingno in the first place, in the later games this is just a regular enemy encounter that was hidden a little bit, but its not a glitch nor a flaw,
the later games also never had any glitches like that, no mater what you would try, its only the blue game that had a true glitch like missingno, and it sure became populair XD
