-Have a brightly colored back fan

Oh, god, I'm not at all serious about these guys! I'm not gonna police anyone's creativity, especially with designs I did so long ago. Do whatever makes you happy!

You didn't make me stress out at all, don't worry. I just don't maintain that species any more and don't feel the need to direct anyone with regard to those critters.

What do these guys eat? I'm guessing fish for some reason.

Nope! Insects. They lack teeth, so they use their chameleon-like tongue to capture large insects.

Oh noes! I'd have to buy those creepy egg cartons full of crickets from the pet shop to feed them!

I can't say I've ever heard egg cartons described as creepy before!
You could always just leave some fruit out to attract fruit flies for ketbro to eat. Or move to North Carolina. We have soooooooo many mosquitoes. Oh god mosquitoes everywhere.

It's not so much the egg cartons, it's that they're full of live crickets jumping all over the place, and you can hear them banging on the side of the carton (I'm not sure if they're actually egg cartons, but they certainly look like them)! It's the sort of thing where if you opened them accidentally all hell would break loose.
Fruits sounds good, I don't think I could live anywhere with a large population of mosquitoes, I'd be eaten alive!

Thanks for the inspiration. I'm using this image to make a 3D (probably animatable) model. 3D models are OK too, right? I'll upload a WIP image of it, hopefully tomorrow, and link it here.

It reminds me of an animal version of a tropical type of plant that traps bugs.

It kind of is, actually. The head is more or less modeled after a combination of the tropical pitcher plant and a pelican.

Ah that's cool because everyone usually combines animal parts but this one has some plant in it.
