This is my first ever digital painting. As in an honest-to-goodness painting with no lines and all digital art. So, considering it's my first, I'm pretty happy with it
The picture itself is pretty simple (and I cheated with her closed eyes, ha ha) but I think I got the technique down okay.I did this entirely with my tablet and openCanvas, with a bit of paintshop to tweak the colors. I must have spent at least 2 hours on the skin alone, probably more. I don't know, I didn't time it. For the whole piece, I'd guess about... 4 and a half hours? The hair took me a while as well... >_> But I'm still happy with it! In fact, it's my desktop background right now.
Alright, now it's time to list all the flaws I know of... I know her neck is too small, her eyes are too far apart (and the lashes look funny), and all that stuff. I also know that the colors aren't the best, but that's because I did it on a laptop and you know how the color is on those things. This is critique discouraged since I spent such a long time on it...
Advice on this style of painting is very much appreciated though! So, I hope you read this, and even if you didn't... enjoy!
PS: Many thanks go to *augustc4 and *tubenose for their amazing tutorials! They probably won't see this but whatever.
Edit// Okay, I just resubmitted a version of this very same picture... just with some more color. Hopefully it'll look better! It's all the same details, just a bit of color change.

There's very little skin tones used here. There's also very little strokes (excluding hair). I think this looks more like a light/soft cell shade style than a painting (excluding hair). I like the colors a lot!

I will... Erm well I was editing movies and stuff for a class project and I needed for space to upload the video to edit so I unistalled some programs to make some room... But then I realized my Sims2 took up like 2000 something of space and I could have just uninstalled that instead ^^,

kool stuff berry its really kool for ur 1st fully digitally painted pic, now u know how long it takes lol. I like the neck n the eyes I can see ur style but yea u should put the eyes closer but thats nothing to worry about.
my advice would be put a darker tone colour under her neck n thats it kool stuff. BERRY POWER

yeah... I guess I just really wanted to do it and it's summer, so I figured I would. But I probably won't do it in the school year. Aww... well, they don't cost a ton (less than an iPod) so you could buy yourself one or... get it as a late/early birthday gift?

Nice style, definitely, but a few things:
The face shape is kinda cockeyed. Or the eyes. one or the other.
I see the scribble thing on the hair, but some darker parts of the shading would've added some contrast and drawn more eyes to the hair first off.

I think it's gorgeous *--* You should've seen my first digital painting u___u it sucked ass. I really love the detail you put into her hair. The skin is lovely, & the mouth is my favourite feature of this piece :3
