      It was just after closing time for Nookington. Tom Nook approached the glass doors of his store and reached for the keys in his pocket. Just as he lifted his keys out of his pocket the door slid open.
      "I'm sorry, sir, but we're closed now. Ple... Oh! Mi-- Mister K-- Kain!" An elegant but menacing figure with neatly combed jet black hair and icy blue eyes stood before him. Two large wolves were behind this man and a pretty light blue cat held his arm. "A-- And what brings me the honor of having you in my humble store?"
      "Spare me of the pleasantries. I'm here to speak of our-- financial arrangements." His low, cold voice sent shivers up and down Nook's spine and chills throughout his body.
      "Y-- Yes... Yes, of course... I have half of the money with me right now."
      "Just half? We agreed that you'd pay off your debt to me ten years after I loaned you the money."
      "Ye-- Yes, sir... Bu-- But..."
      "But what?"
      "Ten million bells is a hefty sum of money, Mister Kain!" Nook fell to his knees and kow-towed the man, pleading, "Please! Give me more time, I beg of you!"
      "Give you more time? I don't know, Mister Nook. I payed off all of my debts to you in two years. Now... How much was it in all? 3,909,400 bells?"
      "I'm sorry! Business has been very slow in the past twelve years!" Kain sat on one of the chairs Nook had displayed and the cat gingerly sat in his lap and put her arm around him. Nook, still knealing, was shaking profusely in fear. He knows what Kain is capable of and sourly regrets the day he borrowed money from him.
      "Mister Nook, I've noticed that you and the seamstress have been-- 'seeing' each other lately." Nook drew his breath in sharply. Where could Kain be going with this? "You know, it'd be a pity if she were to be involved in an 'accident'..." Anger filled Nook's thoughts. He can take being used as a doormat by Kain, but he was not going to tolerate any threats on Sable's life! He stood and made his way to his cash register. "I'll tell you what, Mister Nook." Kain said as he scratched the cat's chin, "You've been good to us in the past. I'll take the 5 million bells now and we'll set up a monthly payment plan, with a tiny fraction of interest. What do you say?" Nook reached his cash register and started rummaging around.
      "I say, fuck you!" He pulled out a gun and aimed it at Kain. Just as Nook fired, Kain shoved his feline consort to the floor and fell with her, the bullet just grazing his right shoulder. The two wolves lunged at Nook, tore the gun out of his paws, and roughed him up.
      "Kain, you're bleeding!" The cat cried.
      "It's just a scratch. Are you hurt, Rosie?"
      "No."
      Kain stood up and growled, "Stay down." He scooped up Nook's gun with his gloved hand as he walked toward Nook and declared, "That's enough." The wolves threw Nook to the floor and growled. Kain glared ferociously at the bruised and bleeding racoon and snarled, "I thought you were smarter than that, Nook." Kain pointed the gun at Nook's head.
      "You won't get away with this, you bastard!" Nook yelled. "The police will--"
      "Nook, you foolish racoon, I own the police!" Kain snapped.
      "Fuck you!" Nook screamed.
      "Didn't your parents ever tell you to never curse in front of lady?!" Kain pulled the trigger, raised the gun, and watched the life leave Nook's eyes.
