Being compaired to Bradstreet is one of the highest compliments I could hope to recieve, espeically with this type of illustration Just wait until you see the color version (will be up tonight).

It's an old stained wall, with bits of exposed brick. The color version might help bring it out a bit more.

Thanks, I'm doing what I can to keep practicing. And I've noticed that my pens are drying quickly from the ammount of use they've been given recently. I'll have to go out and restock this weekend

Just what you are comfortable with, I use a pretty eclectic mess of pens. The hunts 107 crowquill does get the most use when I'm inking with a dip pen though.

I haven't been brave enough to try dip pens or brushes yet. With four little ones running around, the idea of an open bottle of ink is frightening to me. Though I might have to bite the bullet and use brushes after all. The brush pens that I've been using don't seem to have enogh width variation in lines and end up looking like thick blocks with little pointy tips.

Time to experiment some more.

I've found the inking takes a lot less time than the pencils at the moment I'm doing some practice coloring, so this one will be up for colors very soon
