I love how you don't doubt yourself about your drawing skills. :3 You're always so positive, whereas some people say 'this drawing sucks' just to get attention. You truly are a real artist.

Your tutorials are so amazing!
I think this tutorial will help me for my next artworks...
My drawing technique is very ugly (I don't have watercolors, so, I use only standard colorpencils and, some modifications with Photoshop...), but, your work inspire me so much for creating new art!
Thanks a lot for sharing your techniques!
Hmm... Maybe I will try to make a funny character based on this tutorial for my next artwork...
Good idea?
So, keep up this very, oh! very amazing work!
I love your gallery so much!
You are the most greatest artist I've never seen on the Internet! ^-^

Thanks a lot!
I'm very happy to see your comment! ^^
This encourage me to make new artworks and, maybe, an iconset (I started to make my own handmade iconset with colorpencils some months ago... Maybe I will release my "Lemonade at Work" iconset soon... Good idea?)...
Hmm... I will take my colorpencils, a sheet, listening musics on my iPod for more ideas, reading your tutorials and your technique, and let's go for a new artwork!

this totally helped me a LOT. i was trying to draw cartoon people, and i was having a really hard time deciding what they were going to look like. when i read "pick the most outstanding part" i knew that i had to essentially plan what i wanted to make that person look like. thank you so much!

What colors do you use? I saw you nostalgia tut, so I know you use color pencils for the outline, but I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what you use to color in the art? I'm a beginner and I love your work and how the colors come out smokey, yet gentle.

Erm. Felt like writing Chinese.
It's really good! I think it'll help lotsa people because there are many bright, colourful and HELPFUL visuals. Some people learn better with visuals. And THAT is art.

I think what you said about not worrying, just do it, don't hesitate really struck me. I'm an Architecture student, I don't really draw for fun (although I'd love to. It's just not a priority, I guess), but the same advice seems to apply for me too...
Thanks a bunch!

I used to draw theatre stage plan once, and feel like I'm going to die, because everything have to precisely measured & drawn.
Looks like I'm not architecture type.
By the way, you have a great patience to study Architecture!

aneesah In reply to Raindropmemory [2009-03-12 16:25:47 +0000 UTC]
Haha, I didn't think I could bear with the precise measuring and scaled drawings but I think I like it. The fact that everything needs a reason. Or else it will be even more subjective and abstract and I probably can't handle that either.
That said, we do sometimes feel like we're going to die, every few weeks, in fact.
