Description
As much as I love the new Rebels B-6 prototype, there’s just one thing that bugs me about it.The B-Wing’s famous swiveling cockpit is supposed to be held in place by stationary collar affixed to the main fuselage. That’s how it works in ROTJ, and that’s how it is spec’d to work in the developmental art for the Rebels episode. But in the actual “Wings of the Master” episode, the entire cockpit pod rotates (including the collar) as if it were held in place on the main body by nothing more than magnetism. While I suppose in the Star Wars universe it would be possible to have a cockpit that is attached by nothing more than magnetism or force fields, it seems more likely to me that this is just the result of an animator’s mistake, especially in light of the fact that Disney’s own art clearly specifies that it should not work that way. So, whether it is a mistake or just a last minute change, I decided to make my version so that the collar remains stationary while the cockpit swivels within it. That makes more sense to me, so that’s how I decided to do it.

I agree with you. Some people think that it breaks the universe having a single ship be that powerful, but I think it could be managed somehow. You could impose some reasonable limits. Besides, you need some sort of way to cut the Empire down to size.

Yeah, I suppose that's true, but you might be surprised by how many people don't take the time to write two words. So that's why I appreciate it.
