That's probably about how old this screenshot is. I haven't even bothered with desktop customization since I got off my old Athlon XP rig, and that was nearly six years ago.

I followed their work from v2 to v5. I really didn't like the direction they took once v6 launched, too corporate, not enough creativity.

About 3 or 4 years ago, skinning applications was the thing to do on dA. People made skins for Notepad, Chroma, Windowblinds, cursors, icons, system monitors, etc.
The desktop screenshot was used to show appreciaton for those artists that worked so hard. It was also a bit like sizing up someone's car in a parking lot; showing off what sort of skinning applications and programs you were using, and how savy you were when it came to customizing the look of your desktop.

Looks awsome, but i didnt get along with litestep when I had it. I perfer using Visual Themes instead.
