15th stamp woot!Before you fucks ask why I didn't go all apeshit seizure on you, that's because I couldn't be assed to right now, now to the subject.
Seriously, it's been years, months, even fucking decades. I know these events are fucking tragic but seriously, these events are old now, and I think it's time to go back to shit now and yes, you may be traumatized but guess what? I've been through shit too and do I give a shit? No, instead, I pick up the track and go back to what we were doing and some shit like that.
And I made this stamp because people complain about traumatic events yet they don't give a shit about what shit the Indians have been through.

My point about it is the fact that we bring up something DEPRESSING every year. The holidays you just mentioned are holidays that bring up happy events. Remembering 9/11 every single year just rubs the salt into almost healed wounds of every person who lost someone in the event.

We HAVE moved on. It's been nearly 12 years now.
But we are allowed to remember the day and pay our respects to the dead, the survivors, and those who helped the latter during such a horrific crisis.
You do realize that there are some people who simply cannot "get over it"? I'm talking about survivors who were in the towers, the first responders, witnesses, and people who knew someone among the dead.
That's damned ignorant of you to assume that such a person could flick a switch in their mind, and stop caring about a certain trauma they experienced without developing some kind of mental issues involving repressed memories or harmful defense mechanisms.
Lastly, the reason the 9/11 attacks are brought up often is because it was a catalyst for a wide variety of changes in domestic and international law, foreign policy, law enforcement, and constitutional issues that are still going on today.
