Β Of course he would because he secretly wants his girlfriend to pick up where his mother left off. Β His reaction of fear and embarrassment is in hoping that girlfriend "gets it" and will approve

I really, really want to see the "past" version of this -- with the mother and "son/daughter" sitting for the portrait in matching full-skirted dresses... or a peek at mother's photo album, with pics of her cute young lad dressed as a lass in various forms, perhaps a prom dress or something like it... Love this pic the most!

From the photo on the wall, we see the past: "Like mother, like son."
From your depiction, we see the future: "Like mother-in-law, like daughter-in-law."
As with all of your work, you get the details just right, which truly brings it all together. You have the obviously ill-at-ease (and for good reason!) young man, isolated from the extremely empathetic estrogen explosion on the other end of the couch. The still-drop-dead-gorgeous MILF and the boy's overly stunning girlfriend are having quite the coffee clatch confab, judging by the mutual enthusiasm and affirmation in their facial expressions and body language.
You have drawn the girlfriend to appear so alluring that she seems a bit out of his league - unless she likes the very submissive types and sensed something "special" about him in particular ...
Behind them on the wall, the gynormous photo (or portrait, not sure which it is) is simply spectacular in and of itself - its dominating size is such a prominent, eye-catching living-room focal point that the poor kid must have been mortified many times over the years by its sheer unavoidable prominence any time they had visitors over.
To be made to wear a summery polka-dot sundress that perfectly matches your mother's would be Dante's sixth circle of hell, the addition of the girly hairdo and juvenile femmy hairbow would be the seventh, and sitting for the portrait (or multiple photographs) would be the eighth. The mind boggles at what kind of pressure she had to bear to get him to both dress up for as well as to sit for that - his forced, unnatural 'smile' is (to borrow a phrase from an old math textbook of proofs) 'intuitively obvious to even the most casual observer'.
By contrast, his mother's face in the portrait depicts her enjoying herself immensely, bonding with the daughter she apparently wanted but, for one reason or another, never could have - except (unfortunately for him) by proxy. The clutching of his bared arms and shoulders by her well-manicured nails more closely resembles a bird-of-prey's razor-sharp talons clutching its dinner than a tender maternal protective bonding.
Oh, and Dante's ninth (and final) circle of Hades? Having your girlfriend pick up right where your mother left off! He looks like he's almost counting the seconds to when they can leave, but his very bemused GF doesn't look to be ready to be go anywhere for quite some time to come. In a manner of speaking, the ladies' have already "friended" each other and are now well on their way into BFF territory.

You have an absolutely perfect sense of a crossdressers perfect fantasy. I'm surprised you haven't done illustrations for Sandy Thomas. Your pictures would go perfect with most of her books.

Funny you should mention Sandy Thomas. Sandy specifically told me a couple times how much he liked this particular drawing. I've illustrated three books for them so far. I've been asked to help out on a fourth, but I've been feeling a bit creatively blocked for a while now, unfortunately.

Wow, talk about coincidence. I've read virtually every single book that he's ever published and probably still own about two-thirds of them. And I'm sitting here wracking my brain trying to recollect which of them would be in your style and coming up blank.
Chances are I have them, so how about some hints before I spend all weekend going through my hundred and twenty plus collection trying to spot your drawing style? Lol........
I couldn't draw if my life depended on it, but I am a good writer and plots and scenarios just keep popping into my mind whether I want them to or not. Creatively blocked has never been a problem for me. Finding the time and energy to put them down on paper before they're lost is another story.
I actually have a tv novel partially written (about 90 pages) that I've been working on and off (mostly off) for about the last four years. I'd like to get it done before I croak, but since it can take a day to do just two to three pages (if you want it done right), that could be a while. Lol.......

I haven't seen the feminine touch books yet as I usually only do one or two orders a year to Mag's Inc. of whatever new ST product they have and they hadn't appeared yet when I made the last order. So I'll definitely look forward to this when I do another order later this year.
As for Girly Boy, the drawings are definitely your style all right, I can see that now. My favourite is the one Sandy put on the cover of him sitting primly and nervously while his auntie combs his hair into a more feminine style. As always, you capture the cd fantasy perfectly. Thanx.
