Wonderful and powerful work! Love how you made all those textures and swirls that curve in a very dynamic manner, creating such great impact upon seeing. The artwork amazes me even more when enlarging and saw the neat pixel work.
It's also very nice that you've chosen his design from CD, it indeed is very charming.

I'm glad you mentioned viewing it at full size, you're actually the first person to address the pixel aspect of the piece I'm glad it still proves to look nice at the larger size. All the swirls and curves were most difficult and most fun part of making it! Great to hear that they're so powerful!

Well of course! The description already mentioned that it's a pixel piece, I had to look into detail. I used to work with pixel works, and I know how difficult making curving patterns, but you've done them all really well.

Wow, how did I miss something like this?
I gotta say, its a breathe of fresh air to see something different. I rarely see this style used in Sonic fanart, let alone pulled off so dynamically. Its simple yet so detailed and stylish, and I love that swirling smoke effect.
This is an instant fav for me.

Wow, thank you so much, your feedback really upped by confidence! As is expected, I got a lot of simple "cool" and "awesome" comments on this, so I wasn't sure if I actually contributed anything unique to the fanart realm, in concept or in art style.

This is actually the first Sonic fanart I've dared to make, since I was somewhat nervous on how people would react (cuz I'm pretty retro, I really have no clue about the recent games). However, feedback from higher quality Sonic fanartists, including you, has really encouraged me

Hahahaha, honestly? I don't think I can really critique this at all (not to say it's about pointing out mistakes) but I have nothing to say about any imperfections or mistakes in this picture.

I love it; I love the green emerald color and how it mixes with the black, in swirls of clouds or smoke, the black background contrasting to focus on the center, sonic reaching for the emerald. Beautiful composition, very lovely indeed.

It's very ethereal.

You're welcome . I just love the dynamics of the piece, yet it still managed to maintain the simplicity of Sonic and the emerald (which is something a lot of Sonic pieces fail to do. Less is more people. Less is more.)
