Description
I drew this based off images from songs by String Cheese Incident. This was my second drawing in this style. I was looking to bring a bit more meaning to my work after my first drawing, and although I accomplished that I was not completely satisfied with the results...the images are more blocked off and seperate from each other, which a lot of people tend to be drawn towards, however that just doesnt quite satisfy my ADD tendencies....hahaRelated content

no, I did not see either of those things, although I did notice that the mushrooms were in an odd shape.
Thank you for pointing it out, good to know.

I've never heard the band, but I do like the image. I have seen one other like this, an oil painting depicting over 100 grateful dead songs.
The idea is very cool but can be hard to pull off because you get the seperation feel like you did here, but I think it still works for you. It looks like more of a collage than a scene, but collages are still good.
If you try something similar in the future and you want a specific scene, try defining landscape and area. You don't have to limit yourself by just drawing a parking lot or a forest or whatnot, you can draw a city on the lower right fourth, a forest on the lower left, and sky and space hovering above, for example.
Anyway, good drawing, has a very cool style to it, you should definetly work with the style more.

if you look closely above the jellyfish head and just below the mushroom texas you can see a line made of small dots....everything above those dots is representative of land and everything below is the ocean
check out my ekoostik hookah pic, i think its a better example of what can be done in this style and even now when i look at it i can still come up with some small ways to improve it, but then again i've been doin this stuff for a year now and i did all 3 of these (release, string cheese, ekoostik hookah) in the first month that I developed this style...completely by accident, haha.
thanks for your thoughts
