Description
So this's nothing special, really; it's a kind of old sketch (it was number 13 of the 45 sketches I managed to get done for that failed 365 Days of Sketches thing I mentioned in a journal recently), but it was complete enough that I figured I might as well toss it up here. Nothing's been changed since 02/07/08 (holy crap, the Sketch a Day thing was in 2008? How on earth did I end up thinking it was 2009? Time warp!) when I originally sketched it up. It was actually one of very few of those sketches to be originally prepared in color (others were partially colored as time wore on, but this one started out as an experiment with color), and is so far the only one besides number 35 and number 9 (original sketch here ) to be completed. Ironically, it was technically finished first-- I just forgot to upload it. XD (Or wasn't able to. I guess I don't really remember if that was during one of the periods when my computer was allergic to DA or not.)...Don't have much else to say about it, I guess. My babbling will draw to a close now. XD

Hey, "critique" may not have been the right word, but your use of it just there made you seem all French and artistly XD! <3 For a second there I could totally picture you in one of those silly hats. 8D
And ahaha, I think I see what you're sayin'. XD I think it might be an illusion created because of the decision to smear random colors all over the place (you would be surprised how many different random colors are hidden in there o_O I found a layer with pinks!) and then start messing with the opacity on different layers so that some colors were more prominent than others.
(...I mean, I'm pretty sure that was all I did. Wasn't able to replicate it when I tried. XD It gets confusing, because I pretty much never end up coloring shit the same way twice. I may start off intending to, but I inevitably end up going "HEY LOL LET'S TRY THIS!" and getting distracted from The Plan, and end up in front of the comp for hours playing with so many different ideas of ways to do things, all on tons of different layers, some of which I end up just making invisible, that by the end of it I can't even really remember which "techniques" led to the effect I got. It's a miserable existence, mine. XD)

I wish I could remember how on earth I did the colors. It's a style I wouldn't mind cultivating for future use, but all I really remember was a bunch of mad scribbling. I tried imitating it recently and it was um, no. XD
