Thirty-first pic from the 100 Themes Art Challenge!This is one of the rarest of things: a second chance.
This was to be my Rememberance Day picture (Veterans' Day to those in the USA), but I left it at work last weekend and couldn't finish it in time.
However, with "Flowers" as this theme...
Poppies grow in disturbed soil, and what will disturb soil more than a war?

Indeed, and I hear the seeds are tasty too... but they're best avoided if one is in a job that requires regular drug tests, as they may give a false positive for opium...
