Wow... Well, that definitely fits the theme. This is some very powerful imagery you've got here.
I think the pastels strenghten it even more by giving it an ethereal, nightmare-ish look.
Very nicely done!

Thank you.
I decided to use pastels on black paper after starting a regular pencil and paper sketch and having the face in the sketch remind me of Guernica by Picasso...
The original idea also had three cartoon frames around this central image. The cartoon frames would have shown that the character had survived a bike crash, being shot (four times in the one incident), and cancer, only to meet his demise due to that object beside his upper left arm (viewer's left since his back is turned to us). I changed my mind about the cartoon frames, figuring the central image would be enough.

You're welcome!
Heh...well, having it look like Guernica would be an interesting way to illustrate the theme of death too. The black paper and pastels does look nicer though.
That would have made this image awfully ironic, to be sure.
It is just as powerful with only this image though.

"Two Roads".
Hmm... Robert Frost? Robert Burns? Both? Neither?

Ooo...that is a toughy...I thought of Robert Frost first, but that'd be a tricky poem to work with.

I have an idea for the "Loch Lomond" song, but now the directions Yogi Berra gave to get to his house come to mind: "When you come to a fork in the road, take it."

Aww, man, either of those sound like they'd be fun to see used as the inspiration.

Indeed... but I used something else instead...

Ah well, I like what you used instead.
Oh dear...maybe something involving Aelita's Lyoko power? ;D

Thank you.
I tried not to use fanart in this challenge and I've only used it once so far: "29-Happiness". You might remember that one. You're in it, and so are CB, General Silver, Nova Peerless, Mahira, Fllay, and two of the Jewel Carriers, Jade and Ruby.
