I finally got around to drawing Sakaki as a panther. I had the idea at the same time as the idea for Kagura as a tiger (and before Yomi as a bear, Chiyo as a cat, or Osaka as an owl) but I could not come up with a satisfactory look for her until now.Unlike the others so far, which are done in monochrome, this is done in greyscale. This was done to be able to show the dark black spots on the lighter black coat, which panthers generally have.

Awww... she looks so... melancholy and lonely. Which suits both the character and the animal she's being protrayed as.
I imagined Sakaki to be either a wildcat of some sort, or a wolf. Both would be ironic (wildcats because of her love of cats, and wolf because of her lone-wolf image).
Wow, I learnt something new. I didn't know panthers had darker spots on them... thanks for teaching me that.

I based this on her usual pose when she's looking out the window (she gets remarkably good grades for a student who gazes out the window so much... Ulrich would do anything to get her grades...)
