An avenue of royal palms along the way to Farley Hill (from, actually, as I took this picture from the steps of the ruin...)There are several varieties of royal palm; this, the cabbage palm, is the tallest. Why it is called a cabbage palm is beyond me...

I didn't smell them. Then again, they are very high in the air, so I probably wouldn't smell them.
