This one probably explains it better: [link]

Steve's in detention? You obviously don't know Steve Urkel. The Urk-Man! Alter ego to Stephan Urquelle! No chance.

Under normal circumstances, Urkel is likely to be punished for destroying school property while performing unauthorized experiments.
However, in case you didn't notice, the other three "dunces" are no more likely to be troublemakers or underachievers than Steve is.

My mistake. It just seemed that you were saying Steve is a troublemaker. He just has a depth-perception problem.

I'm not sure what all 4 of them possibly could have done to get detention and the dunce cap...but I sure would have loved to see it.
This is a really funny picture and I love the idea! The poses you put them all in are so great. I especially like Conan's.
That's very cute. Nice work!

They were probably caught hacking something MIT-style.
...and more than likely Steve caused a catastrophic accident... BOOM! "Did I do tha-at?"

Haha, this is funny. I love Conan!! I know all of these characters, except Chiyo. But I'd say Conan is the #1 genius up there! ;D Good job.

Thank you.
Yep, Jimmy Kudo was a prodigy at 16, so now that his body has regressed to that of an 8-year-old, with the same mental ability... yep, he's a genius.
Chiyo is in the final year of high school at the age of 12.

Chiyo-chan is the only one I recognise here... XD But from what you said above, I'm guessing that we have a bunch of geniuses/prodigies here. Nice concept, I love the perspective work on the room.

Thank you.
Yep, this is a room full of genius sitting under dunce caps.
Steve Urkel was an accordion-playing teenage mad scientist klutz who lived next door to the Winslows in Family Matters. Later in the show, he drove a car like this: [link] You can probably ask your parents or older relatives about him.
Jeremie Belpois is one year younger than his classmates (as opposed to Chiyo's five years...) and is the only person apart from Aelita and her father who knows how to operate the supercomputer in the abandoned factroy in the French anime Code Lyoko.
Conan Edogawa appears to be eight years old, but he is in fact the missing teen detective prodigy Shin'ichi "Jimmy" Kudo, who was poisoned by some crooks. Instead of killing him, the experimental poison regressed his body's development to the point where he appears to be eight years old. This is from the manga Detective Conan or the anime Case Closed (renamed to avoid confusion with Conan the Barbarian)
As for the perspective, the vanishing point is in the middle of the picture, so everything's just based on a big X.

interesting idea XD though I'm not too fimilar with the two on the right, the idea comes through pretty well lol I didn't know many people remembered Family Matters anymore...I remember watching those when I was younger ^^ fun stuff. then again, I have seen it in the guide once or twice...anyhow, great work! =3

Well, if you're not familiar with Azumanga Daioh and Case Closed, I should mention that Chiyo and Conan are no closer to being dunces than Steve and Jeremy are.
Thanks!

HA! YES! This pic was such an awesome idea, I'm glad to finally see it on paper (or on the screen rather XP)! Excellent work too. Nice perspective in the bg.
The room looks small and cramped though...just like the detention room in high school o.o

Thanks for the comment and the !
The perspective wasn't that difficult; the vanishing point is in the middle of the page, so it was all based around a big X.
At my school they just used a regular classroom after school hours as the detention room.
