Seen at Andromeda Botanical Garden in Bathsheba, Barbados.Put in "Flowers and Plants" instead of "Wild Animals" because I think it fits better there...

*blinks* ....Awwww...you already made the Geico pun...rats... ;D
This is such a cute picture. The orchid is so pretty and the lizard...aww, he's just plain adorable.

The Geico lizard joke seems to be universal by now, much like the "priceless" MasterCard setup.
I'm not sure I've ever heard a lizard decribed as "adorable" before. The attitudes usually range between benign tolerance and attempts at a final solution.

Indeed.
Heh...It's probably not too common, to be sure. I rather like reptiles in general though. I think the only ones I'm a little unkeen on are the poisonous snakes (and maybe that one lizard that shoots blood out of its eyes XD; ). But I usually find turtles, lizards, and snakes cute for some reason.

Then again, coral snakes *do* look lovely despite being deadly poisonous...
Did you ever have a pet snake? If you did, did you name him Sammy?

Indeed. Although...I think it's a species of milk or king snake that has the similar red, yellow, and black markings...and no poison. They're pretty...and not deadly, and could probably be kept as a pet with the right license, at least. ^^
Nah, I never had a pet snake (although I have always wanted one XD ). If I got one now I'd probably name it something "fandom-y", like XANA, or William (or maybe Bass or Deiji, if CB got to me first XD )...or maybe Sissi.

I suppose so.
Actually, Sammy the Snake was a Muppet character on Sesame Street...

Aww, I think it might have been the fact that garter snakes used to live in my backyard. They were cute, and I think I like snakes because of them.

They would be pleased to hear that... well, they would if they had ears...
At least you're not like the woman in BC who beats snakes with a club...

Awww
Nope...although I will admit to accidentally injuring/killing a few with a rake or lawn mower during the Fall and Spring seasons.
...Which always made me unmentionably sad afterwards.

That's sort of how I feel whenever I step on a lizard.

Just so long as he doesn't try to sell you car insurance... yep, that was a bad joke...
A lizard walked through the room I'm in as I was typing this. It was brown and a bit bigger than the lizard I photographed in the above picture.

Not sure whether that's good or bad.
One good thing about lizards is that they eat flies and mosquitoes.
