I couldn't even stand my pencil being shorter than 2 inches lol.

I have trouble telling when something is really finished. I'll pour vinegar into an "empty" mustard bottle, shake it around, and used the really runny mustard that comes out.
Unless I'm mistaken, I still have that pencil. I don't use it often, though.
