Because sometimes things just make you thingk...Digital because the colours were inverted and the outlined moon was bucket-filled.

...I forget what classic work that quote is from...I think it was by one of the existentialist writers but I can't pin it down.

This picture was drawn rather much with the very last scene of the movie Alfie in mind. Alfie (played by Michael Caine a few decades before the remake put Jude Law in the role) is on a deserted pier at night, ranting to the audience about how his life has gone. He turns to walk away, but then he turns back and delivers the last line of the movie: "I mean, what's it really all about?" He then walks down the pier while the closing theme starts with the line: "What's it all about, Alfie?"
I was feeling somewhat dejected when the song came to mind and so I drew this.
BTW, Alfie is not named after the movie or the song. The song fitting so well is just a coincidence that led to the picture.
