SamBlob — Why duel?

Description This is an idea I had several months ago, but finally got around to setting up yesterday. I have not started at the beginning; I am not sure where or what the beginning is. I have at least one other 3-panel comic strip in mind from the same idea; I might do that one later.

The first panel and the guns in the third panel are heavily painted with ArcSoft PhotoImpression 3.0 and the layout was largely done with MSPaint. However, I am sure you will agree that this is primarily hand-drawn, so I've put it in Trad. Art.

Omigosh!!! I remember this idea from back in the TVT days! Awesome!!! Herb looks really good! And I love Ulrich's expression in the last panel! This such a funny comic! Especially considering the "fight" those two had over Sissi in "XANA's Kiss". Great job! ^_^

This is just about at the middle of the duel. I have another idea for a three-panel comic showing their thoughts as they're pacing away from each other.

I also know who's going to get shot, and how... but I haven't figured out how to depict it yet.

The second panel is incomplete; it should show two other figures a little further away. These would be Ulrich and Herb's seconds, being Odd and Nicholas respectively.

I can't wait to see the continuation of this! I just hope Ulrich doesn't get shot...that'd be kind of sad. And embarrasing...considering Herb's aim can't be that good. ^^ Although, if they're using suction cup dart guns and not real guns...then it'd be pretty funny. Either way though, I can't wait to see more! Ooo, and good idea making Odd and Nicholas the seconds!

Oh, and thanks! I started to draw them both in their suits yesterday (after I submitted this) but I don't really know how to draw Nicholas. I drew Odd, though, in a purple jacket and tie and a pink shirt...

You're very welcome! I could just see Odd dueling in a suit like that. Hmm...maybe for Nicholas you could use his "TeddyGozilla" formal attire outfit? I'm tempted to suggest an orange colored suit for him, but then he and Odd would clash in more ways than one.

It was a light blue tux, wasn't it? Yes, I really should use that; my initial idea was for a regular light blue suit, but the tuxedo would work...

Either one should do it. Poor Ulrich...his situation rather reminds me of that which led to the demise of Alexander Hamilton. He got involved in a duel he really didn't want to be in, but went through with it because he wanted to be remembered as a hero of his own honor, and not a coward. *roots for Ulrich*
