For a watercolor painting... There will be transparency in the overlap of the characters (maybe) so I'm going to draw the boy in a separate page.Related content

I like it! It's a pretty cool looking composition. I like the girl a lot...I love her kinda curly hair, and how it flutters about kinda energetically and frantically, while she has such a calm, content expression on her face as she cradles the other character's head. I like the checkered dress, and how it transitions to the frantic background, with the checkered blocks flying about. I like how the calm scene of the two figures progresses to the frantic energy of the background, through the design of her dress, since the checker print is a little more active than a solid print.
I look forward to the final painting! I'm really liking the concept so far. : )

How do you plan on placing it on the watercolor paper? (if it isnt already there) do you trace it? or like, redraw it completely?

I trace with carbon paper, I don't like to have a lot of graphite from where I erased and such mixing with my paint. The paint starts looking... dirty/murky. Probably no one else would notice though XD but it bothers me.

Ohh! I suppose you trace it really lightly-- since carbon paper can get pretty messy sometimes. >:

I love that pretty and playful face. I just hope the other person's back and neck don't get hurt too much.
