Mishipishew

Also known as: The Great Lynx, Mizzy

Countless stories exist about Mishipishew, the beast that lurks in the Great Lakes. Spending most of his time in Lake Superior, the great cat-like Kaiju has very little interest in anything besides defending his territory and, at times, those who live within it. He has little care for the dealings of either humans or his fellow Kaiju, preferring to mind his own business, sleeping and playing in his lake.

Being a legend from at least a few hundred years, and only recently confirmed to be an actual, living creature, no one is entirely sure where he came from. It is unknown if he is the same creature from the legends or the last of a species. Any attempts from scientists to get closer to study the creature have been met with a disdainful stare and a tail flick to swamp and sink their boats. Mizzy, a playful nickname for the beast much like the still mythical Nessie, has never let the researchers die however. He shows no aggression towards humans otherwise, so he is thus not considered a dangerous Kaiju.

He is actually fairly beneficial. Any attack by other Kaiju and Mizzy swiftly goes on the offensive, fighting viciously with tooth and claw and his deadly bolts of lightning. He will not tolerate any aggressive activity from any monsters in his territory, regardless if it is directed at him or not. Though he is hardly careful in his fights to avoid destruction of cities, Mizzy will try to draw the fight away from humans. If the aggressive rival retreats from his territory, however, Mishipishew will not follow them to finish the fight. This, and his annoying habit of tearing down and playing with the round 76 signs classes him as Neutral instead of Friendly.

Mizzy will often work with other monsters, particularly Garm, to take down particularly vicious Kaiju who threaten either him or the world, that Garm personally protects. He won’t attack such a threat unless Garm needs his help, however.

He hates Weewilmekq and Maera and will often go out of his way to battle them, and the feeling is mutual. Tzeltal and Grugyn dislike him, but will not attack him for fear of him, and have even fought alongside him to destroy bigger threats. Most other Kaiju are simply as indifferent to him as he is to them.
