A few weeks later, it is time for Erica and her thug to make their rounds through Sawaya and Yumiko’s neighborhood again. It is early afternoon, and the older woman is busy working, taking care of her daily tasks while letting her mind wander a bit. The business is doing well, and she and her daughter have managed to build up another modest balance of cash since basically being robbed by that wicked woman and her mob goon a few weeks earlier.

But, today, business is a little lighter than usual, so Sawaya has let Yumiko take an afternoon break to go for a jog. She is very proud of her daughter and how she has dedicated herself to getting stronger and healthier in recent weeks. Sawaya’s mind is snapped out of its reverie when the front door opens suddenly and she hears the sound of that evil woman’s fancy high heels clicking on the laundry floor, and even worse, the shrill, arrogant voice oozing from the wicked witch’s painted lips.

“Oi! Lookie here, Bruno! Little Miss Suzuki is all by her lonesome!” Erica coos with a devilish smile as she struts toward the older woman.

Sawaya’s brow furrows and she clenches her jaw slightly as she bristles at this evil criminal continuing to get her name wrong. Finally, she mutters in a calm but firm tone, “It is Sawaya…Sa-wa-ya…thank you very much. So…why you here again?”

Erica saunters closer, ignoring the older woman’s correction of her name, “Well, Suzuki…it’s time for your next monthly ‘insurance’ payment…so, are we gonna do this the easy way and you pay up like a good little customer…or do we have to do it the hard way like last time and rough up you and that hot little daughter of yours? Hmm? Hehe! Where is that little slut, anyway?”

Sawaya’s mind is racing. She is scared, but she remembers what she has learned from Xhi at the gym, and she tries to keep reminding herself of the importance of thinking clearly. She bristles at this criminal’s not so veiled threat toward her daughter. Sawaya is grateful that Yumiko is out jogging and not in this dangerous situation, but, at the same time, she wishes she didn’t have to be in this predicament all alone.

Bruno stalks closer too, his eyes darting around the business looking for the younger woman, and then focusing on Sawaya. Erica stalks even closer, clearly trying to intimidate the diminutive Japanese woman.

Finally, Sawaya takes a deep breath and exhales, then stiffens her body to strike her best confident stance as she speaks in a calm and clear tone, “It is none of your business where my daughter is! And, no, I am not going to pay you extortion money! No! Now, you leave…please. And no come back!”
