Local mob captain Erica DeVille is apparently back in action after somehow managing to wiggle out of the recent criminal charges stemming from her night club operation. Today, she’s making the rounds through several neighborhoods in Kesstock, accompanied by mafia goon Bruno, to collect some “insurance payments” from local business owners as part of the mob’s protection payment racket.

Wearing a black top and tight black leather pants, and a pair of her CFM heels, Ms. DeVille seems to be relishing the task of wandering through the neighborhood collecting easy money. While Erica is fairly intimidating in her own way, Bruno’s muscular presence adds a whole extra layer of “menace” whenever they walk into another shop.

Their next stop is Sakura Laundry & Dry Clean, a relatively new business in one of Kesstock’s Asian neighborhoods. The owner, a beautiful middle-aged woman, greets the visitors warmly in slightly broken English, “Hello! How can I help you?”

While Bruno meanders around the business, leering at the young woman who also works at the shop, Erica gets down to business, “Yeah…I’m lookin’ for the owner. Is that you?”

The older woman smiles and touches her fingers to her beautiful kimono-style uniform, “Yes, I am Sawaya. I am owner, and my daughter, Yumiko, helps me when she is not attending university.”

Erica nods and flashes a fake smile, “OK, well, nice to meet you, Suzuki, so….”

The older woman raises her hand and politely corrects the taller woman, “Ah…it is Sawaya…Sa-wa-ya…thank you.”

The mob princess rolls her eyes impatiently, and then continues, “Yeah, yeah, Suzuki, Sawaya, whatever…listen, here’s the deal, lady…you’ve got a nice little shop here, so it would be a shame for there to be an ‘accident’…or a fire…or heaven forbid something happen to you or your little girl there…so, here’s what my organization and I are gonna do for you…we’re gonna be your ‘insurance company’…once a month we’ll come around to collect some ‘insurance payments’ and, in exchange, we’ll make sure that you don’t have any break-ins or ‘accidents’ here at your nice little business…you got that? Hmmm?”
