you are very welcome, your friend is very lucky to have someone like yourself
who cares as much as you do about her well being

even if someone does not openly thank you for what you do
or even if they might not know what you did for them at a
specific time that really got them through a difficult
situation, being who you are and knowing that you would not
have acted otherwise shows you care more about others than
yourself.

... is that a bad thing?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ScottMan2th In reply to Jay-niisouleater [2012-05-23 16:51:28 +0000 UTC]
not really. i can only speak from what i know
and what i do...if you acted in a kind way but were not thanked, that only reflects on
the other person who may not know how to say thank you for whatever reason effects their
thinking on such matters...it's not a question of doing something in the hopes of reward
or being noticed by others for the sake of self gratification...that misses the point.
having empathy for someone who might be hurting should not be ignored.
when you can do something about it you should not turn away...actions tend to follow you
one way or the other

knowing how others might feel during such times
makes you more sensitive (and insightful) when it
comes to spotting things like that.

*grin* you underestimate your obvious intelligence
and the undercurrent of exceptional wittiness...
nothing wrong with thinking about things before
speaking or accepting them at face falue

i may have used copy and paste for that...not sure (but it would work if you needed to do that sort of thing)...it's been rather hectic around here lately and since i do not have access to a working computer everyday, it has been difficult to keep up with everyone here

my brain is a bit fuzzy at the moment...if you are referring to points, (which i think i sent)they can be used to buy things here on DA (usually takes a lot) if, we are talking about something else, remind me of the details (again, my access to the internet is not very reliable, and i have a lot of other distractions looking for space in my head)

The friends always say, "He was so normal when we were in school. I talked to him and he seemed fine. I never knew he would be capable of such a thing." I laugh at that because if i ever killed someone my friends would say, "She was always a weirdo. She probably did it because they sang Dora the Explorer or used horrible grammar."

lets hope that sort of thing never happens...being thought of as weird or strange
is not exactly a reliable gauge of sanity when the sanity of those making the
comparison is also seriously in question

appearing to be clueless
allows others to underestimate
your intelligence...that gives
you the advantage over their
own opinions that tend to be wrong
