Description
This is for 's huge HEMAN jam! Wish i couldve done better but i havent done any comic book line art lately so please forgive my poor attempt.
No inks as well.. juz pencils on a 8x5 piece of paper.This is supposed to by Syclone. I have no idea how the new version looked like so i decided to go for the old look but i modified it a bit.

Haha! Nicely put! After this piece, i feel like drawing more pencil stuff coz i freakin miss it! Cant wait to finish some more comishes so i can have free time for myself as well.

Actually, i found a lot of artists that get commissioned regularly and most of em do comic style works. and a lot of em are Filipinos as well! Probably coz we have cheap prices in compared to other peeps. my prices are the cheapest still i think.
I know this wont last forever thats why im accepting everything that comes my way.

I guess its got something to do with what commissioning people are looking for and 90% of em are either looking for anthro pieces or superheroes.
Wish you could show people your gameheadshots coz those could really catch serious attention! I know you can achieve those any time. I can give you pointers on superhero anatomy if you want as well.

I actually know what superhero anatomy is like, it's just that it doesn't come naturally to me because I had to learn anatomy from observation, then anatomy for fashion then strive to switch back to realism. So it's hard for me to change it again. But I want to try and see if it works.
As for the portraits, I might be able to put them up around October. I'll hit you with an email with my latest ones. By the way, I don't understand the liquify tool. It seems so complicated

ITs not! Its really easy and its my best friend in pshop! saved me lots of times!
Ok... Ill try to explain the buttons that i use.
the top on the left that looks like a finger is the one you use for pushing stuff into place manually. It lets you somewhat treat your piece like a clay sculpture that you can mold and modify.
The Pucker tool which is 4th from the top is used when you want something become smaller. But remember that the surrounding areas will get pulled in to occupy the space.
The bloater, below the pucker, juz does the opposite of the pucker.
The "Show Backdrop" option should be enabled if you're working on layers so you can see the whole piece as well.
Those are the only things i use in the liquify tool Vass and i hope this helps a bit.

Please do ask me anything about liquify k? id really want to help you on that coz its a lot more useful than most people realize.
Let me know if you got probs k? I suggest you try using it with basic shapes first like a cone or square so you can see what exactly its effects are.

My male comic book mouths have thinner lips and dull light colors. The lower lip isnt colored anymore but shaded below it.

You do muscles so well! And I like the way you shade too. I think I watched Heman for a bit a long time ago, but I can't really remember him. Actually I really don't remember all that much of the rest either

What i changed in his look are the gloves, the additional central spine in the helmet and the blades on his arms should be connected up to the shoulders, His colors were blue and yellow.

Well, i guess it was because of the revisions i made to his look coz the two strips on his arms look weird in modern times and the same could be said with his helmet.
Besides, a lot of artists updated their versions in the jam as well so i guess its all good.

Nope... it is a monthly jam held by one person. Usually, he gives a theme and anybody can give their take on it. Like for example: Spiderman or Frank Miller.
But this is a special Jam where he listed all the Heman characters he needs. I picked Syklone and the others had their picks as well. When everybody is finished, he will edit all the pieces together and make it a group pic.
