****FULL VIEW****A brand new PC calls for a brand new desktop!
My old one of Shadow & Sid wouldn't look right with all the icons I have. And God knows I plan to buy all the Sims 2 Expansions & Stuff Packs. That's just more icons on the way, so the black space above the characters is much needed.
BTW, my new PC is all fixed up. There's too much to list, so for curious computer freaks, like myself, I did make a list of it's specs HERE

Why don't you try the GIMP ? I use it, and I find the GUI more comfortable(mostly because it sticks to GNOME standards) to use. Not really a clone of Photoshop, has some differences, and it's opensource. SO IT'S FREE!

There's no Blend window in the GIMP, so for shading, you need to go Filters>Artistic>GIMPressionist. Alternatively, duplicate your picture(cut out, of course), remove some parts of it, blur it, then clip it to the source pic on your image.

Thanx X3 took me all day yesterday and today to edge around each character. The effort was worth it though. ^_^ I finally have a desktop featuring most of my fav. characters.

Yay for you ^-^ I know what you mean, cropping out an individual character or object takes time, and making it look good takes even more time. Excellent job.
