Description
This addresses thin cloth types. I was looking for a denim tutorial for a picture of Iruka and Kakashi in jeans, but I couldn't find one, so I played around with filters for awhile until I got something good. The technique I used (which will be coming later since I'm home "sick" today with an ear infection) will be uploaded as a different tutorial.I like my rainbow example. It was really fun to color. ^^ I also realized: you can see the edges of the cloth with this tutorial, just like you can on real cloth! It's so awesome.....
In case you were wondering, I only use about 1 to 1.1 noise after making the cloth. Except in the tutorial picture. And you can make the threads wider, longer, whatever to suit your needs.
Play around with filters yourself, though. Seriously. Just because this is my way of making cloth (You can shade it before or after, btw) that doesn't mean it's the best. I love my way and I find it very simple and easy (only four or five filters!) but there must be better ways out there. Figure out your own way and make your own art! ^^
