Description when the darkness gets the deepest, a shining light will guide your way out (unfortunately this isn't autobiographic)

yeahyeah, I know, I'm ripping myself with this piece, but it was some kind of "occupational therapy"

*edit* revised the design with some advices from *hexentanz

Stunning lighting you have here - It almost looks as if the lighting has made a "ath" (hence the title maybe?) and with great textures!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

siebenzehn In reply to johnwarren [2004-03-02 13:33:42 +0000 UTC]

ack it did this emoticon thing to me, too - seems a quote followed by a p ["p] gets transformed to [";P], I noticed similar issues with quotes followed closing braces...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

siebenzehn In reply to johnwarren [2004-03-02 13:31:23 +0000 UTC]

yep, the "ath" effect was the reason I titled it so

thanks, mucho appreciated!

very cool..loooooove the composition. but the clouds are kinda flat and cut. you should try adding more depth to them. i could suggest some photoshop things, but i have noooooo clue about the program you use o.o still. rock ON.

siebenzehn In reply to thoasamunder [2004-02-05 00:15:22 +0000 UTC]

yeah you're maybe right about the clouds, but they're too small to make some kind of bevel or similar useful, would probably look crappy since it could also be "noise"

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

thoasamunder In reply to siebenzehn [2004-02-05 22:30:02 +0000 UTC]

can those kind of files be edited in photoshop? because then you could zoom right on it and just smudge up the edges. but you know, looking at it again..i might be wrong. it's so cool.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

siebenzehn In reply to thoasamunder [2004-02-06 07:44:03 +0000 UTC]

I mean the clouds were so small that they lost too much "substance" through the smudging, not that I couldn't "hit" them

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

thoasamunder In reply to siebenzehn [2004-02-07 08:24:36 +0000 UTC]

even if you make the smudge brush only like two pixels? humm. what if you copied them to a new page and used an applicable filter? i know this really isn't important, but i've got a teeeeensy case of the ocd and now i want to make your clouds absolute perfection. (to shut me up, just say " shut UP you psycho!" works every time.)

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

siebenzehn In reply to thoasamunder [2004-02-07 13:08:51 +0000 UTC]

well, I once had a liking for perfection, but then I started working with PS

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

siebenzehn In reply to thoasamunder [2004-02-06 07:41:21 +0000 UTC]

of course they can be edited, they're saved as BMPs
Well, I tried smudging the edges (I did that in the pic I linked to in the description) but these clouds are kinda small, so I just applied a slight blur, and faded it with the darken setting (they were even more flat in the actual render)

i had to full view this, looks extremely unique, always a good thing. Those rays are superb, the only thing i dislike about this image is the faint line of a mountain at the back, looks a bit bad because of the mist. But otherwise good job
