HOKAY.Thankyouthankyouthankyou to everyone who took the time to crit my last submission, I really appreciate it.
This is going to have to be the final for now, since it's due Friday and I know for a fact I won't have time to fix it up at all tomorrow. So! What I changed:
"Aired out" the trees a little so that they're not just blobs of green anymore. Hopefully they look a little more um. Tree-like now. Tightened up the clouds around his back a little bit, I forgot to add highlights before. /swt Some minor color adjustments on the beastie itself, darkened up some shadows. Tweaked the shape of the front tree a bit (although I left the screaming-stick-man tree on the right because that's funny ; ) ). Added grass! I'd say "foliage" but it was too tiny for me to really even try to get much detail down there. I'm afraid if I went in and tried to make actual individual plants, it would take away from his size. Attached the trees on the far left and far right to Mr. Swampie.I did delete the old version out of my gallery (sorry for those of you that faved it, but I get twitchy with two copies of the same picture in my gallery) but you can see it here if you so desire: [link]

Awesome! I'm totally digging the lush greens/blues. The Mr. Swampie tree reminds me of a weeping willow (neatest tree ever!)

This is sweet. I always like the idea of taking really fantastic beasts and making them somewhat plausible scientifically (like giving them novel camo). I like the mist coming off fo him like that, it makes him look more mystical, and also makes it look like he's been standing there still for quite a while, waiting for his prey.

did ANYBODY else see a Squid like creature before seeing ( which took me a minute er 2) the actual head of the swamp beast??? (if u look to the top right , there a circle patch panting with a mist clouds strip over the center with a bird, er... dirt black spot in the middle of the green & strip)...its late morning so i see swamp squid people lol. Hun, it's a great piece. It feels fairy tale-ish & even feels like Neverending Story-ish er something....

I love how lush and green everything is. How the monster seems to be rising up out of the muck and swampy water. I also like how he seems to have trees for legs... how very interesting, I like that he seems to be a part of the nature. VERY NICE IMAGE!!
