Playing with Boss' design.It was bugging me that she didn't really look like, you know, a BUG. But I'm happy with how she looks in general. So I've just been fiddling around with some details to make her look more like a scorpion without completely retooling her character.
I could live with this, I think. It's a step in the right direction, anyway.
I still need to get her pincer guns down. They've been the biggest hassle.
Feedback on the design is welcome.
EDIT: Bumping this up to the main page. I'm not as indifferent about it now as I was two hours ago. XD

Yup! She was meant to be a sub boss to Eggman in my story ala Egg Robo or Nack. She's not very good at being a bad guy, but she tries.
Technically, it's not her real name. But no one ever asks her what her name is, so until someone bothers to, it's just Boss.

Thanks~ I'm still tweaking a few things, but I think for the most part this is what she'll look like for now, at least until I get to drawing her weapons. I'm fine on my own, but thanks for the offer!

Got an idea for the pincers. Maybe she could have a weapon she could wear like this perhaps? [link] But have scorpian pincers instead?

Ooh, that is a cool idea! I'll have to try that out sometime.
What I had in mind was somehow making old Western revolvers that were somehow shaped to look like Scorpion claws, but I'm terrible at drawing guns. D8 I wouldn't mind trying out something different.

She originally had one because I figured that if Charmy has a nose, scorpions should too. Except... it's still weird when Charmy has it.

Yeah, she looks a lot more like a scorpion now - I also like the replacement bangs, they help with the buggy look. Never change her outfit thought, ever. XD
I love that outfit so much, you don't even know. It's just so... safjhdslfhsaf. That's the best description I have for it. It's a good safjhdslfhsaf don't worry. XD

Her outfit's the only thing that's been consistent for the past two years. XD I can't do anything better than what it is right now. Which is kinda funny since it's just such a simple twist on the Eggman outfit.
I'll still need to come up with something for the times that she's not his sub-boss, but that's still a work in progress. :/

The shearling jacket/boots from her fifth-gen design were really cute; Something with them might be nice. or put her in a really badass, over-sized leather jacket and clunky biker boots because it would look ridiculous and doofy on her XD

She looks like a bug now, at least in the same way that Sonic looks like a hedgehog; in that it's not easy to guess, but once you're told you wonder how you managed not to notice. The new design looks good; it also has the benefit of being impossible to mistake for a hedgehog. Now I'm just wondering if she's ever going to get around to answering those questions.

Haha, they're all still sitting somewhere in my files half drawn, but I never finished them. Much like that Brotherhood redesign project I had going for awhile. And the character family project. Aaaaand a bunch of gifts and requests too... My hard drive is pretty much WIP purgatory.
